ProFIT is the central funding program for research, development and innovation in Berlin and Brandenburg. It is aimed at technology-oriented companies that want to develop new products, processes or services. All innovation phases, from the idea to the market launch, are supported with grants and low-interest loans.

6 steps to ProFIT funding

Outline project idea

Contact the responsible funding agency (WFBB in Brandenburg, IBB in Berlin). Initial assessment of whether the project is generally eligible for funding.

Create & submit a sketch

The informal project outline is submitted for a preliminary technical review. We support you in formulating and compiling all the necessary documents.

Examination by the funding agency

The funding body decides whether a full application can be submitted.

Create & submit full application

If the response is positive, the complete application including financial plan, milestone plan and company data must be prepared. We will do this for you.

Examination by the funding agency

Technical and economic examination of the project by ILB (Brandenburg) or IBB (Berlin), if necessary with external assessment.

Calling up the funding

Once the grant notification has been received or the early start of the project has been approved, the project can begin and the funding can be drawn down.
